While her husband has sought out a very public life, first lady Melania Trump has chosen to remain fairly private.

She spends a lot of her time caring for their 14-year-old son Barron, calling herself a “full-time mom.” Since moving to the White House in 2016, Trump has also taken on the many duties required of first ladies, from decorating the residence to planning official events.

But since the coronavirus pandemic has largely put a hold on Melania’s public appearances and event planning, the first lady has seemingly become more outspoken through her social media posts.

At a time when millions of Americans have been told to stay at home and avoid spreading the virus, Trump has taken to Instagram and Twitter to address the country – marking one of her most vocal moments in nearly three and a half years as first lady.

On Sunday, April 26, she is celebrating her 50th birthday.

Here’s a look into Trump’s daily routine at the White House both before, and since, the pandemic took hold.
