TEEN Mom Chelsea Houska gave fans a glimpse inside her home decorated for the holidays after receiving backlash over painting the walls black.

The reality star shared a photo on Instagram overlooking her living room all decked out for the holidays.

The snap captured the cozy space spruced up for the Christmas season with two tall trees perched in the corner of the room.

Each tree was decorated with white lights, ornaments and beaded garland matching the light color-theme.

Green leaves aligned the mantle over the fireplace with brass bells dangling off the edge, while white stockings were lined in a row for the family-of-six at the other end.

Chelsea proudly took an overhead shot of the space to share with her followers on her Down Home Deboers Instagram page – the design company she shares with her husband Cole Deboer.

She captioned the post: “Christmas decor and Blippi.,” referencing the kids program playing on the TV at the time of the shot.

Earlier this month, the 30-year-old shared more from their decorated dream house as they got into the holiday spirit early.

In a video on Instagram the mom-of-four showed off her three-year-old daughter Layne’s tree, explaining: “We are going to decorate Layne’s tree.

“This is Layne’s tree in her room, it’s like pink (at the bottom) and it goes up to white.”

Chelsea revealed the tree came from Amazon, and was decorated with ornaments from her local Target.

The mom also said that her oldest child Aubree, 12, and her son Watson, four, are also getting their own trees, and will soon decorate them as well.

News of the tree-for-all was met with mixed reaction online.

One Instagram user was taken back by the site, commenting: “Lol oh god a tree in the kids room?”

While another countered: “I did it for my kids. All those ornaments they make on their own, looking all crazy went on their own trees.”

The Teen Mom 2 alum moved into her new South Dakota house last December, making this the first full Christmas season spent in her new home.

BLACK WALLS

Fans were skeptical of the MTV star’s style during the design process of the home, as she continued to document the journey on social media.

Back in August, Chelsea and Cole, 32, shared a huge snapshot of their entire home on their company’s Instagram page.

In the snap, clouds hovered above their farmhouse.

Half of the building appeared to be covered in shadows, due to the black paint.

The caption stated: “This is your sign to paint your house black.”

Prior to the post, Cole went shirtless in order to paint the walls black.

Chelsea shared a snap of her hunky hubby as he flexed his strong back muscles while painting the walls.

Wearing tight gray shorts, Cole’s toned calves and upper body were on full display as he used a roller to finish up the renovation work.

The caption stated: “My toxic trait is that I want to paint everything black.”

Trolls were quick to jump into the comments section to share their dislike of the house.

One troll said: “Never!”

Another troll wrote: “Bird poop though.”

A third critic chimed in: “Joey is already shaking his head.”

A commentator pointed out: “I don’t think that works when your house is tiny lol.”

FANS’ OPINIONS

Last year, the TV personality shared an update on the construction of her South Dakota farmhouse.

Chelsea wrote: “When was the last time I showed the exterior? My dad went out and got some really awesome drone shots the other day and I HAD to share.

“I just love it. Crazy to think how close we are to being done!!”

Alongside the caption was a sky view of the home being built while the roof appeared to be all black.

Fans took to the Reddit comments section to react.

One person wrote: “Sooooooo ugly oh my god,” while another chimed in with, “Hideous. With her house budget, she could have chosen something gorgeous. This is terrible and so is the cornfield view.”

‘CHELSEA-INSPIRED’

The design and color selection seemed to have attracted former Teen Mom 2 co-star Kailyn Lowry who recently considered painting her new Delaware mansion black.

Fans did not love the idea after Kailyn reached out for thoughts in an Instagram poll claiming that she was “copying” Chelsea’s design.

A commenter wrote: “It all seems so Chelsea inspired.”

Another added: “Kail is copying Chelsea’s house.”

Many fans think her South Dakota dream house is ugly or badly designed.

To add to the drama, Kail previously appeared to indirectly diss Chelsea’s home months earlier when she said she “hates a farmhouse style.”

Chelsea has described her home sense as “glam farmhouse.”

The couple built their dream farm home themselves, after buying a plot of land in Vermillion, South Dakota, and began building on it in early 2020

The farmhouse has hardwood floors throughout, while the kitchen has white cabinets with a black island for contrast, stainless steel appliances and granite countertops.

The living room has a black brick fireplace and ceiling-length windows, while the home has modern farmhouse vibes throughout.
